Style, for me, was never about trends. It was always about a quiet presence that spoke volumes. I grew up surrounded by intelligent, ambitious, impeccably put-together women who understood that how you show up matters. My mother and my aunts were my earliest teachers in confidence, creativity, and self-expression—not just in how they lived, but in how they presented themselves to the world. Fabulous hats, sophisticated trench coats, stunning suits, beautiful brooches… and oh, the shoes!

My mother, a beloved sixth-grade teacher, was also an award-winning cake decorator and a sought-after seamstress. Our home was filled with McCall’s patterns, yards of fabric, and the steady hum of sewing machines. She made everything—school uniforms, flower-girl dresses, prom gowns, pajamas, even matching family outfits. Style in our home wasn’t purchased; it was crafted. And it was always done with pride and intention.

A pivotal trip to Colombia brought everything full circle. Meeting a family-owned leather artisan and experiencing the craftsmanship firsthand sparked what would become P. Sherrod & Co.—a brand grounded in heritage, quality, and intentional design.

Today, I design for the people who continue to inspire me. Whether she’s a stay-at-home mom or a creative entrepreneur, or he's a corporate executive, or a 6th grade teacher —the need for style, versatility, and fair pricing is real and unwavering.

I love imagining the life of each bag beyond the design process—on the shoulder, at the waist, or worn across the back of its owner, moving through meetings, milestones, travel, and everyday moments.
